Spanish Language School

The Spanish language school in Nerja was established in 1980. The language school is lovely, and Nerja as a place is gorgeous!  The town is small enough to become quickly familiar, easy to walk around (a lot of the centre is pedestrianised) and is beautifully located - on the Mediterranean coast with stunning sea views from the "Balcon de Europe" promenade (see the Nerja google map for proof!).  With plenty of sunshine year round and warm to very hot weather from April to October, Nerja is the perfect location for a language course/holiday.

The school is based in two adjacent, typical Andalucian houses, only 5 minutes walk from the centre of the old town and has a friendly intimate appeal, enjoyed by our adult students and teenagers alike. Spanish language students always love the privacy of the language school's garden in Nerja, with it's sun terrace and patios for student use, both during and after classes.

There are 12 classrooms indoors, each with a TV, video and audio machines, however lessons are frequently held in the garden under the shade of the bougainvillaea. The video-centre offers a wide choice of films for student use in the college, likewise the library offer a range of books for student use and the book shop offers a range of dictionaries, general reading matter and audio and video tapes for sale. The college also has an on site snack bar and there are a range of additional facilities at the college residence, just a couple of minutes walk away.  The residence offers very pleasant hotel style accommodation to students aged 18yrs or older and for all Spanish language school students; a student common room with wifi access, a coffee bar and a typical Andalucian tiled courtyard, open to the skies, yet completely private. 

The Spanish School becomes fully booked during July and August each year (so please book early if you wish to study in Nerja during the summer). The college teachers are all native speakers of Spanish, who specialise in teaching Spanish as a second language.
