Accommodation in Buenos Aires

Students can choose to stay in either local private households with Aregentinian hosts or in shared apartments, living with Argentinians or other language students. Buenos Aires is a large city and so daily commutes are unavoidable. Students should allow travel times of 15 to 30 minutes each way, or up to 55 minutes (if in the cheaper accommodation option).

Private households:

Single room accommodation in Buenos Aires with local hosts with half-board (breakfast and evening meal).
Bed linen and towels are included (and changed once a week).
The hosts are usually middle to upper-middle class people on a Latin American scale and each host is inspected by the college accommodation officer.  We have quoted host accommodation no more than 30 minutes travelling time from the college in the CESA Course Finder.  You can also choose to be further away from the college (up to 55 minutes) and will then pay less for your accommodation.

Shared apartments:

Students can rent a room in an apartment, sharing with other language students or in some cases with local Argentine students.  You are welcome to specify your preference for sharing, but it will depend on room availablity at the time your course takes places, so no guarantees on this matter can be offered.
As Buenos Aires is a large city the college offer shared apartments at a cheaper rate if you are prepared to travel further each day.  We have quoted the price for accommodation within 30 minutes of the college on the Course Finder and shown the deduction for accommodation further out in the Course Notes.
Students self cater and a towel and bed linen is provided.
House keeping will be done 3 times a week.
The apartments generally have WIFI and cable TV.
Students can rent either a single or a shared room.  If you choose a shared room, but no room mate can be allocated by the college, you will still be charged the shared room rate, on the understanding that once a room mate is found, they will move in with you.

We recommend students fly to Buenos Aries airport (EZE) and then take the transfer service provided by the Spanish Language School to your accommodation (especially if you are a beginner or if this is your first time in Latin America).

Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini airport is around 22 miles (35 km) from the city centre.  There is a regular shuttle bus service into the city that takes around 40 minutes, or take one of the official taxis'.  There is also a local bus that takes around 2 hrs.

You can fly to Buenos Aires with:
British Airway, American Airlines, Iberia,
Air France and Aerolíneas Argentinas
