Accommodation in Nice
The French language school in Nice offers a range of accommodation options for students to consider, depending on budget and personal inclination. Nice is a large, popular city and language students must allow for a commute of approx. 15 to 40 mins to college each morning.
Please note : The summer months are particularly busy, demand is high, so early bookings are strongly recommended.
French families/ private households
Can be booked on a single or shared room* basis with half-board#
Hosts offering half-board live in apartments in and around the city and may have more than one student staying with them at a time. They are normally French couples, divorcees or widows who are happy to host foreign students and can provide a welcoming environment and the opportunity for social conversation each day. The French hosts will collect you from the airport/station on arrival, free of charge (if at reasonable hour and CESA has been advised of your travel details with reasonable notice) but students make their own way back to Nice airport, at the end of the course.
Please note: During the summer the younger students are taught on the second Summer college site, and accommodation is arranged with hosts closer to the relevant college site.
* shared rooms available if staying with a friend or for younger students, the French school in Nice will be happy to try and pair you up with another student of a similar age in the late Spring/summer months

Shared apartments
Students share accommodation with local French hosts, on a self catering basis. This option is popular with the more independently minded students, who still want to have French contact outside of classes at the French school in Nice, but would like to have kitchen access to cook their own food.

Student House
Within a 10 minutes walk to the school and just a few steps from Avenue Jean Médecin.

The student house can accommodate up to 8 students; with 2 single rooms, 2 shared room and 1 double room. There is a spacious kitchen which has plenty of cupboards, a huge fridge, an oven and microwave and with a large table allowing all students to take meals at same time.
Bed linen provided, students have to bring towels.
There is also a flat screen TV and WIFI connection.
This is the ideal accommodation option for any adult student (minimum age 18 years) staying at least 2 weeks and looking for a self catering accommodation to be shared with other college students at a reasonable price.
Please reserve as early as possible as places are limited and book up quickly.
Studio bedsits
One room studios with kitchenette and bathroom.
Two or three roomed flats also possible on request.
Bed linen and TV included.
Generally within walking distance, and rarely more than 15 mins bus ride from the college.
Deposit in cash will be required once in France

University residence (summer only)
Individual Uni residence rooms with own bathroom, plus breakfast (and kitchen access in communal area if you wish to cook other meals). The residence is located in Cimiez, near the French summer school in Nice and only 10 mins by bus to main school in central Nice.
Students must be 18yrs+, no one aged 17yrs or younger accepted in residence
Only available July and August each year

Studio residence
Studios are located in a 2* residence, just 20 mins walk from the college. Each studio has either a single bedroom or a shared bedroom (double bed, not twins) a kitchenette and private bathroom. No air con. TV's and fans available for rent. Simple, independent accommodation.

Apartment Hotel
Just a 10 minute walk from the college, the Hotel offers a higher standard of studio, air con, phone, sat TV, safe, parking (at extra cost) and bed linen. Studios for one quoted in price list, also available for two, or up to four people at additional cost.

Travel
Arrive: Sunday PM
Depart: Saturday PM
Travel to Nice by plane and then take the host arranged transfer to your accommodation (if staying in private household and arriving at a reasonable time of day) or take a taxi or bus to your accommodation.
NB: Easter A'level dates differ, we ask students to travel Sunday/Sunday.
