Learn French in Nice

Accommodation

Nice is a popular and large city and students must allow for a commute of approx. 15 to 40 mins to college each morning if staying with local hosts. NB: The summer months are busy, demand is high, so early bookings are recommended.

Private households: Can be booked on a single or shared room basis (shared room only available if staying with a friend) on a half-board basis (breakfast and evening meal) with local hosts. Hosts live in apartments in and around the city. They may have more than one student staying with them at a time. They will collect you from the airport/station by arrangement, free of charge (if at reasonable hour) but you are expected to arrange your own return trip at the end of the course.
During the summer the younger students are taught on the Second college site, and accommodation is arranged with hosts closer to the relevant college site.

Shared apartments: Share accommodation with local French hosts but on a self catering basis. This option is popular with the more independently minded students, who still want to have French contact outside of class.

Studio bedsits: One room studios with kitchenette and bathroom. Two or three roomed flats also possible on request. Bed linen and TV included. Generally within walking distance, and rarely more than 15 mins bus ride from the college.

Studio residence: Studios are located 20 mins walk from the college. Each studio has either a single bedroom or a shared bedroom (double bed, not twins) a kitchenette and private bathroom. No air con. TV's and fans available for rent. Simple, independent accommodation.

Apartment Hotel: Just a 10 minute walk from the college, the Hotel offers a higher standard of studio, air con, phone, sat TV, safe, parking (at extra cost) and bed linen. Studios for one quoted in price list, also available for two, or up to four people at additional cost.

Hotels: Local 2*,3* & 4* Hotel options offered to adults on short term programmes. Please specify dates and style of room required.

Travel

Arrive: Sunday PM
Depart: Saturday PM

Travel to Nice by plane and then take the host arranged transfer to your accommodation (if staying in private household and arriving at a reasonable time of day) or take a taxi or bus to your accommodation.

NB: Easter A'level dates differ, we ask students to travel Sunday/Sunday.
