French College Description
The College in Nice offers a wealth of French courses to suit all needs, from Long-term courses to the intensive Private tuition courses and the Over 50s Course. For those students that can speak French and want to prove it there is the DELF exam course. The College is also home to CESA`S A-level revision course at Easter (very popular - book early!) and for those that want to combine French Courses with an activitiy the college offers French & Diving courses.
Established in 1992, the college is situated a few blocks south of Nice Main Railway station, some 200 metres from the Nice Etoile shopping area, 400 meters from Place Massena and 10 minutes from the Promenade des Anglais by foot. Located in a quiet residential area the college is situated in a lovely mansion, surrounded by similar styled houses from the turn of the 20th century.
The year round college consists of 16 classrooms, air conditioning, a library, computer room with internet access and a student common room with a small library. There is also a small courtyard, shaded by trees where students can relax during breaks.
During the summer a second college is open, situated to the north of central Nice, near the Roman arena and the Matisse and Chagall museums. The Summer school consists of 12 classrooms and there is snack bar and a large garden, where students can relax during breaks.
At it's busiest during the warmer months of the year, students are advised to book early for the June to September programmes. The staff are always on hand should you have any questions once on your course.
The college requires their teaching staff to have a University Master's degree in French as a Foreign Language and extensive experience teaching French as a Foreign Language, and to be a French native speakers.
