French Summer School

Antibes: 14/17 yrs

Charlotte Wise spent a week at our French Summer School, not only improving her French, but also enjoying the Rivieria sunshine, Mediterranean sea & making new friends in Antibes.

Her only regret?  That she didn't book for a fortnight!

Mrs Dawn Wise :

“I booked my daughter on the CESA Languages course in Antibes having seen their ad on Schoolstrader. It was absolutely fantastic and my daughter wanted to stay longer.  The company were so efficient, kind and helpful.”

Charlotte's view:

"I expected to improve my French especially my oral skills. I also thought I would be more independent and meet a few people.  My expectations were definitely met. The course was brilliant. I improved my French, both speaking and widening my vocab. I loved meeting so many different people and from so many different countries.

The lessons were the thing I was least looking forward to, but I enjoyed them quite a lot! I think the structure of two lots of 2 x 45 minutes lessons were good. I loved my teacher and couldn’t of wished for a better one! I had Catherine and she taught me so much!

I thought the school was a comfortable place to be. The animateurs definitely made my week more enjoyable!

The best part is going to be hard to pick out seeing as I had such a good time but I would probably pick my free afternoons.
The students at College were lovely and I made so many new friends. The evenings were great but it would have been nice to be given more time out in the evenings. Some nights we took part in campus activities, I think this should be optional.

The accommodation was better than I expected. We could have done with a few more mirrors in our rooms, but on the plus side our beds were very comfy. People definitely interacted with each other. I felt safe in the town and I thought the bus operated a good system, I would recommend one of the beaches on the way to Nice Ville (by train) because these were mostly nicer/quieter than the beaches in Antibes.  My most memorable thing was the talent show because it was just so much fun!

Overall I think CESA should very proud of creating such a fun and enjoyable course. I definitely want to come again next year!  I have already told many people how much I enjoyed the course. I would love to go again and hopefully some of the people I met this year will come too! "
