Please check with your UK school, are your Orals before or after Easter? If you need an earlier course, please let us know. We can always offer a one week general French group or private tuition course in Nice, or elsewhere in France.

Students can polish up general French language skills including revision of grammar structures and pronunciation and address any linguistic weaknesses.  Tutors are all native speakers who are also professional teachers of French as a foreign language.

In addition CESA wishes to make the course as relevant to the needs of the students as possible.  We therefore request that each student tells us which topics they need to prepare for their AS & A2 level oral exam.  Wherever possible these topics will be introduced into the oral sessions during the week.  The aim is to develop discussions around the topics and get everyone talking.  Please send in your Topic information (CESA will supply a topic form) as early as you can.  Information supplied later than 2 weeks beforehand cannot be included in the programme.

Accommodation
Students are housed with local French hosts. You are welcome to make your own accommodation arrangements, but the vast majority of the A'level students do choose to stay with hosts. You will be placed in a single room with a hostess, on a half-board basis. Students are only placed in a shared room with another student, if this is booked with a friend.

Transfer
One way collection on arrival at Nice airport. No extra charge.

The hosts organise the arrival transfer (assuming that students arrive between 09.00 and 21.00hrs). Students MUST arrive at a reasonable hour of the day. If catching early morning or late night flights, students have to make their own way to their accommodation by public transport. Students need to make their own travel arrangements back to Nice airport by public transport. Most students take a taxi back to the airport, and either the hosts or the college will assist in making the taxi arrangements.

Course Notes

College: Full details can be viewed on our Nice College One page.
The college combines an informal atmosphere with a studious environment. The combination of its academic record, central city location and ease of access via Nice's International airport makes it the perfect location for this special course.

Meals: Breakfast and the evening meals are taken with the hosts. Students make their own lunctime arrangements. One mid-week dinner to be taken as a meal out with all the students and a member of staff, in a typical Nice restaurant (inclusive in course fees).

Curfew: The hosts will not provide students with a set curfew. If parents require a particular curfew to be put in place, please let CESA know. We will ensure the hosts are informed. However, it will not be the hosts role to police the students. Any infringement of the curfew set, will be passed to the student's parents, for their information.

Cultural activities: Whilst the activites suggested should take place, it may be necessary to make alterationas to the exact activity proposed.

Private study: Students will be asked to complete some homework tasts each night in preparation for the following days classes. It is important that students complete these tasks in order to take full advantage of the week's programme.

Course places:Please note that this programme became fully booked last Easter. We recommend that students book their course place as early as possible, to avoid disappointment.
