Yes. If you're looking for a full immersion German course, staying in an on site residence only open to teenagers. CESA students love living in Berlin & experiencing this vibrant city's lifestyle. It is perfect for preGCSE, GCSE & A'level students wishing to improve their German who would prefer to live in a self contained study environment. There are limited places available and the course is always popular ALWAYS becoming fully booked ~ so early reservations are essential!

The course is academically demanding course and aims to stimulate student interest and keep the lessons dynamic. Optional social activities provide contrast and bring an additional element of fun to the overall programme.
The German language college staff are aware that the students are on holiday and will do all they can to help students enjoy their German experience, both in and outside the classroom.
The camp is on the banks of River Havel, one of Berlin´s two big rivers, and where the camp is, River Havel is nearly as wide as a small lake.

A perfect place to relax and socialize after German classes. Hard to believe, that such a peaceful place is part of a big city like Berlin, and yet it is: The city center is within easy reach, (25 mins by metro) and you´ll get to see all the trendy places in Berlin. We will show you cool cafes, fancy shops and of course famous highlights such as Berlin´s new downtown. Members of staff will also be accommodated on site, so that there is always a responsible adult on hand day or night.
Standard Programme
One, two, three or four week + programmes
~ 20 group lessons
~ Up to 12 students per class level
~ 4 levels: beginners, elementary, intermediate, advanced
~ 09.15hrs to 12.30hrs (2 x 90 mins sessions)
~ 45 minutes per lesson
In total there are 40 lessons over 2 weeks (unless a day is lost to a public holiday). This is equal to a term of contact lessons at your school in the UK. Small classes, native speakers, interesting material and a pleasant learning atmosphere all contribute to the learning process. The emphasis is on the active use of language in real situations. You learn German and after class you get to explore Berlin with other teenagers from all over the world.
Accommodation
Sunday to Sunday ~
Self-contained college residence. Meals included: Full-board. Rooms: 3 to 4 students per room with shower/wc along the corridor. The camp can accommodate 50 students who in the past have come from up to 30 different countries. The college campus has a modern residence with it's own landing stage, a big garden, barbecue area, beach volleyball court and an on site cafeteria (offering full-board).
Activities
A range of activities are offered as an inclusive part of this programme including:
1) one afternoon activity per day e.g. canoeing on the River Havel, Berlin Wall & Checkpoint Charlie or to Potsdamer Platz, a cycling trip or badminton tournament
2) each evening an entertainment is offered; video evenings, games, show time, cinema excursion or a party on the lakeside
2) one excursion per week i.e. Potsdam, Pfauenisnel, Sachsenhausen Island on Saturday
3) Sunday students can relax at the college or go swimming in the river

Going Out Permission
German law dictates that the following curfews must be respected:

Teenagers aged 14/17 years old are not allowed out after 22.00hrs on this course. Students can go out locally, around the Summer camp (go to the local shops, supermarket or swimming in the lake) but there is not sufficient time to go into the city centre in the evening and students are not allowed to go into Berlin city centre unsupervised. If you want greater freedon, please consider the Campus programme.
Going out in Berlin - the college group leaders will accompany you and show you many of the sights of Berlin.
Travel
Arrive: Sunday Depart: Sunday a.m.
Fly to Berlin and take the inclusive return transfer service (09.00 to 17.00hrs) from one of Berlin’s airports, the Hauptbahnhof or main bus station.
The courses are very popular and are likely to be fully booked during the July/August period.
