Teacher Refresher Courses
Teachers of a Foreign language are able to enrol on short one or two week courses abroad to refresh advanced language skills and to explore new concepts in methodology with other language teachers from around the world (and particularly Western Europe). Previous UK Teachers enjoy being able to gather resources on the local area and country for class work in the UK. However, it is the opportunity to discuss teaching practice with the college staff and other teachers on the programme that is most appreciated by participants.
Teachers eligible for the Erasmus training grants are able to use the funds to support these programmes.
Duration: One or two weeks
No of lessons: Approx. 20 per week
Levels offered: Language Teachers only/ advanced ability
The start dates for these group courses are limited but the colleges can always offer a private tuition course of one or two weeks throughout the majority of the year, so that your specific needs and course requirements can always be catered for.

Participants on Teacher Refresher Group programmes have to have a high skills level in the target language. If you feel you would benefit from a language course but believe this programme is not suitable for you, please talk to CESA regarding alternative courses, such as the Standard, Intensive or Combined courses quoted on this website. The colleges cater for a wide ability range on these programmes and there will always be a programme to meet your language needs, whatever ability level you have.
