Short term : Standard Group Course in Nice

"My expectations of Nice were more than met with regards to the teaching methods, the teachers themselves, the accommodation and the weather.

I thought the lessons were excellent with a wide variety of teaching methods such as: games, role-play, and reading various extracts. This made the lessons both interesting and helpful. I had two teachers during my stay because I was in two groups. Both teachers were extremely good, kind, patient and friendly.

The school had a nice friendly atmosphere with an attractive building. It was a convenient 5-10 minute walk from my accommodation and near to the station. It was small enough to feel comfortable but large enough to meet a variety of different people.

The best part of my course was when I found that my understanding of the language had improved considerably. I also enjoyed learning more about the French culture.

Nice is an excellent destination, particularly for a one or two week course. There is a lot to do during the day, particularly if you are interested in cultural attractions, such as the Russian Cathedral. I was able to speak to local people out of class and they were very friendly to me. Nice is not a cheap place to visit, although it is possible to eat fairly cheap.

I was delighted by the accommodation because it was much better than I expected. I had a double bed, my own TV, a bathroom especially for students, delicious homemade food and shutters on my window. My host was very nice, friendly and helpful. She even offered to help with a piece of work I was stuck on!

Before I went I found that the staff at CESA were very friendly and helpful and that I was provided with a lot of useful information. All the arrangements went smoothly and the assistance I was offered in choosing my destination was very good.

I would definitely recommend this course to other people. I have come home with lots of great memories, the most memorable being my trips to Cannes, Antibes and Monaco, and I felt confident to go on my own! It was brilliant! "
