4 week Standard Course in Hyeres

"I learnt much more than I expected to. I feel my French progressed some way beyond A-level standard. My expectations were exceeded!

Everything about the lessons was fantastic; there was an excellent balance of grammar and discussion. A wide variety of teaching methods were used such as: videos, songs, laboratory sessions and raw grammar. The only thing that that could have been improved on was the early lessons, 8.30 was a bit early for me after a heavy night socialising!

The college itself was excellent. The staff and teachers were incredibly friendly, knowing everybody's name and willing to help in any way possible. The location was ideal for me due to where my host family lived. It was also very handy for getting to the town centre.

Being with like-minded individuals who were passionate about French and willing to learn the language was a refreshing change from back home and probably the best part of the course.

Hyeres is an excellent destination. I found lots of restaurants and cafes that were good value. The town in general was quite cheap compared to England. Even if we didn't fancy going out and about in Hyeres my friends and I always found something to do even if it was just renting a film.

My host family were fantastic; I was given unconditional space and was able to literally make myself at home. They were extremely welcoming and always willing to offer help any way they could.

Would I go back? Definitely and I am! I was so happy with my host family that I have organised a return trip to go and work for them as an au pair."
