French & Activity Course:
Follow a 2 week French course with students of your language level. Re-ignite your French conversation skills, improve your grammar and ONLY talk in French for 2 weeks with CESA in Nice. Enjoy living for a fortnight in Nice, soak up some Rivieria sunshine, work on your French and share your love of French and a range of cultural excursions & trips with other adult learners, from across Europe (and beyond).

Timetable: 09.30 to 12.15hrs (with a 30 minutes break)
An activity programme is offered over 7 afternoons, 2 evenings and includes one full day excursion
Accommodation: With local French hosts or can be arrange in local Hotels or residences on request.
French course in AM:
A short term French language course aimed at those who need to build on current skills or who want to kick start their French language learning from scratch with an immersion course in France.
Activities:
Guided visit into Nice’s old towm, excursion to Beaulieu & Saint Jean Cap Ferrat and the Rothschild villa, wine tasting and exploring provencale cuisine, visit to the Renoir museum, Sunday afternoon at the Opera, a Salsa evening, dinner in a restaurant with college staff, an excursion to Villefrance sur Mer, Entrevaus (a medieval village) or Cagnes sur Mer. –
NB: Excursions take place by bus or train and the group is accompanied by a teacher or social director (this isn't valid for the 1st Sunday and the 2nd Friday). For the visits of towns and villages they only chose short walking distances with several breaks. Except for the excursion to Entrevaux, tuition and activities are reserved to seniors only and no other student will be mixed to the group.
Accommodation is carefully chosen near the school (less than 1 kilometre away on foot). All activities are guided and commented in French language. The activity programme during the February session is partly focused on Carnival events.

There are three great course options that CESA recommends to our older clients. If you'd like to improve your French and eat fabulous French food at award wining restaurants, try the Gourmet French course, if you'd prefer to work on your French cookery skills, the French & Cookery course is for you or if you love Impressionist Art, join the Discover Normandy programme and indulge the Art lover in you.
Gourmet French

This course is a must for those wishing to combine language learning with the art of cookery and Normandy is the ideal place to do it. The Rouen Culinary School offers expert culinary demonstration and practice on top of the French language skills programme and at the end of the course each student will be able to prepare a sumptuous regional menu (and enjoy a good lunch for three of the 5 course days).

College Description
French & Wine Course:
Follow a two week French course, with the Wine Appreciation course as a supplementary one week course. A fabulous chance to explore the beautiful city of Tours, improve your French and your wine knowledge and study in a beautiful and very adult orientated French language school.

French AM Course
You will feel at ease and confident, and you will progress fast. Because of the small number of students in each class, the teachers can focus on spoken French. Your oral participation is encouraged by the relaxed and cordial ambiance and only French is ever spoken!
PM Wine Appreciation Course
Each course is divided into three afternoons and lasts for a total of five and a half hours. The College Director gives the first lesson on wine history, grapes, wine-makers, French wine regions and vocabulary. This lesson finishes with some Vouvray tasting in the college's own wine cellar, dating from the 15th century. During the following two lessons, presented by a wine specialist, you will learn about wine-making and the correct way to taste red and white wines. Choosing, buying, storing and serving wine: dos, don’ts and other advice.
In response to student demand, the college also offer other courses on food given by local specialists:
a cheese course,
a course that harmonises cheeses and wines,
a foie gras course.

ST ANNE, GUADELOUPE
College Description
A short French language course aimed at adults, over 50 years of age, who wish to study with their peers in an informal atmosphere and enjoy the social programme offered, includes a full day trip to spectacular waterfalls, and half-day trips to a local distillery and a sugar factory. There is also a Creole cookery session and two lectures on Guadeloupian culture, ecology etc. The courses dates are chosen to coincide with the February carnival, the July Drum Festival and All Saints Day in early November. The course concentrates on exploring French & Guadeloupian culture, it does not dot offer a systematic study of French grammar, rather it uses the language as a practical tool to promote linguistic interaction and discovery.

20 group lessons per week plus a 2 week social programme, including 5 afternoon trips, a cookery afternoon and two full day Saturday excursions.

Activities:
Guided tour of Pointe-a-Pitre (it’s history & architecture through the squares), a visit to the Atlantic coast, a Creole cookery afternoon, a traditional dance afternoon, a Saturday trip to the Isles of Les Saintes or to the National Park, a visit to the Mangrove area at sunset or a lunch & tour of a sugar factory.
