Social Activities in Madrid

All students are encouraged to make the most of their time in Madrid by participating in the guided excursions and activities offered by the college.

The college offers interesting afternoon cultural guided visits to Prado museum, Spain’s National Parliaments, The Royal Palace, Toledo, Seville and Archaeological museums. Other activities available are; film watching, concerts, sports, excursions and much more.

Madrid’s museums are world class, the Prado and Reina Sofia are “must sees” if you love Art, a wide range of theatres and cinemas thrive in the city. For shopping Madrid is a paradise, luxury goods abound in the Salamanca district, leather good and shoes are to be found around Gran Via and Puerta del Sol right through to the bargains of the famous flea market, “El Rasto”.  Food is taken very seriously and there are more than 3000 restaurants to chose from, satisfying every style, taste and budget.

For those who want to explore Madrid’s nightlife (expect to see thousands of people, hundreds of bars, traffic jams at 4am, lights and noise).  We recommend the bars and restaurants in the student area of “Arguelles” and “Moncloa”, and “Huertas” for a range of bars to sample.  There are several flamenco clubs and nightclubs around the city where you can party until 6 AM.
