Spanish Languages for Life Course

These long term Spanish language courses allow students to develop their language skills over several months. In-depth study over an extended period ensures better mastery, subtler understanding and far greater long term retention of key Spanish language skills. They are very popular with Gap Year students prior to Uni, graduates prior to a first career and adults who wish to take a career break. These courses suit complete beginners to the language and those who have prior Spanish knowledge.
Spanish Standard Course
1 to 8 weeks language course duration
Open to 17+ age group throughout the year
20 group language lessons per week
plus 4 cultural lessons per week

A short term Spanish language course aimed at beginners and those who wish to build on current skills on a taster course of one week, or a more substantial course of up to a couple of months. Recommended for students of all ages and all Spanish language abilities.
Spanish Intensive Course
1 to 4 weeks language course duration

30 group language lessons per week
plus 4 cultural lessons per week

A short term Spanish language course aimed at beginners and those who wish to build on current skills on a taster course of one week, or a more substantial course of up to a couple of months. Recommended for students of all ages and all Spanish language abilities. The Intensive course enables students to follow the Spanish Standard course, but then extend their language studies each day with further classroom work, concentrating on oral communication skills.
Spanish Combined Course
1 to 4+ weeks language course duration
Open to 18+ age group throughout the year
20 group language lessons plus 5 or 10 private tuition lessons per week
plus 4 cultural lessons per week

The Spanish Combined courses enables students to follow the Spanish Standard course, but then extend their language studies each day with a personal tutor who can address individual areas of interest or concern i.e. prior to academic exams or to improve particular skills for business situations. They are generally short term Spanish language courses aimed at beginners and those who wish to build on current skills on a taster course of one week, or a more substantial course of two weeks or longer.
Spanish DELE Course
4, 5 or 10 weeks language course duration
Open to 18+ age group throughout the year
20 group language lessons per week
plus 4 cultural lessons per week
Previous Spanish knowledge required
Max. 9 people per class
A short term Spanish language course aimed solely at those who wish to prepare for the DELE exams in May and November each year. Students who do not have sufficient language skills, should follow a Spanish Standard, Intensive or Combined Course, prior to joining the DELE preparation course on the set start dates.
Spanish A'level EASTER Course
One week language course duration
Open to Yr 12/13 students from UK ONLY
30 group lessons per week
Must be AS or A2 students
Max. 8 people per class
The Spanish A-level Course A special ONE week course allowing students to practise, practise, practise their Spanish with other Yr12/Yr13 students. The course is geared specifically to the linguistic needs of the AS and A2 students (IB & Highers students also welcome). The students stay with local hosts on a half-board basis (either on their own or if requested with a friend, who must also be attending the course). This course has been a great success with past CESA students for the last six years, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Spanish Private Tuition Course
1 to 4+ week language course duration
Open to 17+ age group throughout the year
10, 20, 30 or 40 private lessons per week
An intensive Spanish language course, ideal for those who wish to make maximum language progress over a one or two week period. Aimed at adults with specific language needs or students who require some concentrated study prior to academic exams. Most students opt for the One to One private tuition option, however two students of the same ability level i.e two A2 students can attend a Two to One private tuition course, at a reduced per person cost.
