Learn Spanish in Playa Jaco
Accommodation
We recommend that you stay with a Costa Rican host family. The school knows all the families personally and regularly visits them. The families are open-minded, interested, and generous hosts, and they offer you the ideal environment for practicing your Spanish. If you desire a bit more privacy, we recommend that you stay in an apartment.
Host family in Jacó: in a single room, half board (breakfast and dinner), includes laundry service. The families live within walking distance of the school or just a few minutes away by bus.
Apartment in Jacó: 1,5 -4 km to the school. Well furnished apartments with facilities, tv, and kitchennette. Self-catering. Accommodation either in a single room or in a shared room or in one-person-apartments.
Hotel:There are many hotels in Jacó, please ask CESA for details.
Travel
Arrive: Sunday PM
Depart: Saturday AM
Students choose to fly to San José’s International airport (e.g. via Newark with Continental airlines) and then if you are staying in private household accommodation you will be collected by your hosts.
NB: If you are not staying with a host, you will need to take the bus or a taxi or book a college transfer (at extra cost).
