Learn Italian in Siena
Accommodation in Siena
Siena is built on a human scale and is easy to get around by bus or on foot. NB: Most of the accommodation is located outside the old city walls. Students can choose to stay with local Italian hosts or in apartments, sharing with Italians or other students.
Private households: Stay with local hosts, in apartments in either single or shared rooms (shared rooms are only on offer if travelling as a couple or with a friend OR if you are under 30 years of age) on a B&B or half-board basis. Staying with hosts allows you to speak Italians with local people out of class and they are generally 20 minutes + commute from the college, in the residential areas outside the city walls.
Shared apartments: Apartments are between 15 to 30 minutes commute from the college. For 18+ age group only, who are used to an independent lifestyle. The apartments consist of a communal kitchen and bathroom and a single or shared (for friends OR those under 30 yrs only) bedroom each. Apartments are shared with local Italian people or other students. If you have a preference please let CESA know when enrolling. We will do our best to meet your requirements, if possible.
Higher standard apartments:
Offering a better standard of furnishing and comfort, these apartments are ideal for older students, who prefer a few more creature comforts, but are still happy to share with other students.
There are a range of apartments on offer, roughly they cost an additional 10% on the shared apartment prices, but it will vary from apartment to apartment. Sole occupancy apartments can also be arranged, but will cost more and are individually priced. Please ask for details.

Example above : Higher standard apartment MON
Offering 3 bedrooms, each room with private bathroom facilities and a shared bathroom & kitchen. The apartment is really beautiful (around 180 sqm) & well furnished, just 3 minutes walking distance to the school. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom /shower. The location is excellent - next to Piazza Gramsci and is generally shared by 3 or 4 students at one time.
Hotels: There is a good range of Hotels in Siena, please let us know your preference when booking. Higher standard Hotels are ideal for adults on short term courses, but not recommended for younger students travelling on their own.
