French Mini Group Course in Tours, France

I’ve just spent 4 fantastic weeks learning French in Tours. In those 4 weeks I have learned so much and really gained confidence in speaking French. My teachers were great at using different methods to hold our attention whilst we improved our vocabulary etc on the French Mini Group course. There were only five of us in my class, and this was quite normal in the school – so it was easy to progress as there was constant teacher interaction.

During my stay in Tours I lived with a charming hostess, who was so nice and helped me in every way possible to ensure I made the most of my stay. Tours as a city is fabulous, there are plenty of sights to enjoy and with good public transport it was easy to get around. I would recommend everyone who wishes to learn French with other adults, to learn French in Tours with CESA!

4 weeks in Tours, France

I spent 4 weeks in Tours improving my French, and I couldn’t have been happier with my choice! The assessment test at the beginning of my stay was the ideal way to identify where I should be placed, according to my French knowledge. The classes were kept very small which allowed the teachers to properly help each student progress as individuals. Each class focused evenly on all aspects of learning a new language. I learned a lot during my 4 weeks, and i would go back to the French school in Tours tomorrow!
Best advise I could give a future student : Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Everyone is really helpful.  I found that no matter what kind of question I had, academic or frivolous, whether it was about homework or just a quick query about a place I wished to visit; everyone at the French school took the time to help me!

Two weeks learning French in Tours

I’ve just finished a short French course in Tours at a terrific language school. It was a great experience, better than I have had in the past at other schools. The teaching methods, the school and the French teachers were great, but for me the best part had to be my host family.  They were amazing!!! Great food, very clean, incredibly friendly and so generous. I highly recommend anyone wanting to learn French to consider a Mini Group course in Tours with CESA. The school is small, the professors knowledgeable, and the city of Tours is fabulous (and the Loire is a great place for tasting a few wines as well!).

Serena Grigg   3 weeks Tours    Mini Group Course

After just three short weeks study in Tours, I am aware that my French has really improved, my vocab still needs a lot of work but I’m beginning to realise there will AWLAYS be more vocab!  However I was really pleased that my spoken skills and comprehension were markedly better by the end of my course.

I particularly loved the course structure at the college, the small groups, the personal contact and the fact that it was adults studying together (nothing wrong with 17yr olds, but now I’m in my 50’s I’d rather study with other adults!).  Not only was I in a course with other adult students but everyone in my class was a good reflection of my own language level (had an Alevel, somewhat rusty now, but apart from a few holidays in France I’d never really kept the language going).  Read More »
